Saudi Arabia Becomes Uzbekistan's Fastest-Growing Major Investor
When the Saudi-Uzbek Business Council was founded in Bukhara in January 2021, total Saudi investment in Uzbekistan stood at a modest $200,000. By October 2025, that figure had surpassed $25.5 billion — a journey powered by the Council's investment facilitation work, bilateral forums, and direct business introductions across energy, infrastructure, healthcare, water, data centres, industry, and agriculture.
The Council's six Joint Business Council meetings — held in both countries across three years — have provided the structured bilateral dialogue that moves investment from intent to reality. Each meeting has built on the last, expanding the sector coverage, deepening government alignment, and growing the community of committed investors on both sides.
$25.5 billion in total Saudi investment in Uzbekistan by 2025, up from $200,000 in 2021 — an increase of 127,500 times over four years.
